Derek H
Boy, this is annoying.. Anyone have suggestions to avoid this? Adhesive lined heat shrink??
rich
if you mean the braided shielding to go over cables to loom them together. then when i cut the braiding to length, i use a cigarette lighter to melt the end, and a bit of adhesive heatshrink to keep it in place. Derek H
But if you melt the end it will no longer expand over the top of a cable bundle. Usually this happens after a few months of use. I guess I'm wondering what the pro cable makers do to prevent this. I'm looking at you Remote Audio, you use a lot of this stuff! Derek H
...Realized I just set myself up for a "call the manufacturer" comment. I'll do that when I have some time and report back.

soundtrane
pro solution - cut nylon braid shielding with hot cutter.
Wyatt Tuzo
Like rich, I generally cap mine off with double-walled, adhesive lined shrink tubing. Works great, and holds everything in place
