curleysound Posted February 2, 2008 Report Share Posted February 2, 2008 I've been working with the TriCaster Studio on a couple of gigs recently. Has anyone else had any experience with it? The audio section is weird. I have fed it 1KHz tone with my 01V96 (From the main stereo +4DBu outs) and have set the tricaster to both mic and line modes and heard tremendous clipping. I used it in mic mode with a -50 pad, and still got the same results! I then switched the tricaster to "Variable Gain" mode, and only after turning the input gain variables all the way down would I get a clean signal. I'm using the 01V96 constantly, so I know it's not the culprit. I was able to do the whole gig without any problems, but does this seem like a faulty unit or really bad software?
