I've been pretty happy w/ Audacity (all the more since it was free)--it's done everything I needed to do location-edit and playback-wise. What's better about WAVE for $250? Jeff Wexler Posted April 1, 2006 Report Share Posted April 1, 2006 I am not sure, having not had a lot of experience with Audacity. I have played with various versions and it seems to perform okay. I also do not know a whole lot about Wave Editor except that it is very expensive (so a comparison of features vs. price is certainly in order). For simple 2-track playback purposes and other things, I have found Sound Studio to be very good, and inexpensive at $60.00 I believe (but not free).
