Hollandaudio
Any thoughts on this being used for multi track record? An alternative to the the O1V
soundtrane
uses an AC adapter... no direct DC in...
Hollandaudio
uses an AC adapter... no direct DC in... Thanks Vin. Wondering how much a DC mod would be if it was at all possible. Have you seen or used the unit?
Richard Thomas
I looked into this a while back, think it was 18-19V DC in at the board, so it'll need (probably quite a big) regulator
Philip Perkins
Do you really want a mixer that is dependent on an Apple consumer product? iPad configs and connectors have changed at least once in the product's life already..... philp
Jeff Wexler
I agree with Philip on this point. I am not in favor of any of our devices having to rely on a PRODUCT from some other company for its primary functioning. An interface to an iPad or some other device is fine as long as it just adds convenience or additional viewing options, etc., but is not required for operation of all essential features and functions. This is nothing against Apple (or any other company's product) I just do not want to rely on products from other companies. This carries over even into other things, remembering how Zaxcom got a little burned by building the original boom operator's box and relying on a battery system from Black & Decker (which Black & Decker later discontinued).
