mbois
Will there ever be a firmware update for the Tascam 100mk2 so that it can record 2 extra safety tracks like the DR-40? Will there be a new product announcement?

Siddho
yes, its great that Tascam are still updating the HD-P2. Thank you. i still use mine often, coupled with a Mixpre, for low-budgets and BG/FX. if any future updates are still planned it would be geat to have MS capability and for the machine to be able to name a take with a repeated take number after a "retake". T_will
Upgraded HD-P2 to V1.08 Supposed to have rectified 23.976 fps issues with EXT TC. HD-P2 now plays nice with ACC-501, and TS-C sending it LTC @ 23.976 Imported WAV file into Premiere Pro CS5. All good. TC and Waveform confirmed sync vis a vis TS-C clap. Nice. Latest Wave Agent not importing HDP2 files or 664 files for that matter, can't comment at the moment. Trash and Reinstall? Tom Duffy
Minor fixes for HD-P2 users! HD-P2 V1.09 was released back in July: Fixed an issue where the Menu screen would be displayed upon insertion of a Compact Flash card. Also V1.10 just released today: Fixed a problem where the wall-clock time (file creation time) became inaccurate while the unit was powered on.
