glenn
Due to the responce on the JW sound group we have decided to make an optional fader attachment that will add 8 more rotary faders to the Nomad. The panel should allow for both fader control as well as Zaxnet control of wireless transmitter gain. We will announce price and delivery at a later time. Thanks to all for your feedback. rb1138
I just heard about this on other thread. So this is not the same thing as the Mix-8?
Max Hirtenstein
A mix-8 won't fit in your bag
greg sextro
Thank you Glenn. I cannot state how useful it will be! Can this unit also work with the Deva/Fusion line? If they could also be used as a "left/center/right" panning option for a given input, that would also be super useful. Greg
Jack Norflus
No this is different than a mix 8.

Glenn Sanders President Zaxcom Inc. That's great news. Hopefully it will be as small and as light as possible. A like the idea of full size faders but the idea of menu sized knobs is also very attractive for a very small profile unit.

ebranting
Please please please include a physical pan switch! Or, like Greg said, allow the faders to control pan!
Jared Detsikas
Maxx has no Zaxnet, Maxx does not have 8 channels, Maxx does not have any USB or serial connector to hook any external mixer or controls up....just sayin.

Max Hirtenstein
i think the nomad may start challenging the dominance of the 788t in reality with an upgrade like this
pindrop
Will it, be an option for trim control as well? eg. 6 trims, 6 faders for example?
studiomprd
" . Hopefully it will be as small and as light as possible. " probably not it needs to be smaller and lighter than possible!
James Arnold
This is very exiting! I would second the pan control option. Also - size dependent - I would be tempted to add the Maxx style PFL buttons.
studiomprd
" . Hopefully it will be as small and as light as possible. " according to this thread, it seems to be getting bigger, and, BTW, more expensive..
Toy Robot
I don't even own a Nomad but this is awesome.

" according to this thread, it seems to be getting bigger, and, BTW, more expensive.. Yes but at least it's "upgradeable". You just never have the money right now but you can always get it later. You don't just have to sell the whole recorder and get a new one. I dunno. It's something to look forward to.

" according to this thread, it seems to be getting bigger, and, BTW, more expensive.. Yes indeed. But I imagine there are ways to keep it smaller like the use of menu sized knobs over full sized faders.
Mark Orusa
This is very exiting! I would second the pan control option. Also - size dependent - I would be tempted to add the Maxx style PFL buttons. This thing is imagination-ware right now, so let's think up some awesome features for it: Assign the faders any input (including 7-10), as panners, ZaxNet gain. Big, dedicated PFL buttons. I hope the processor can keep up. Mark O.
