Jeff Wexler
A slideshow that I did to honor Taylor Hackford and our work together on "An Officer and a Gentleman". I gave this to Taylor to use at the CAS Awards Show which we all know he did not use. Instead, Taylor rambled on for 40 minutes longer than he was supposed to talk, got Crew Chamberlain's name wrong (called him Drew), and secured for himself a place in the record books for the longest running acceptance speech in history. In any case, I like this little slideshow (pictures provided by my wife Carol who was the Unit Still Photographer on the movie). Hope you enjoy it, or not, I think it's pretty cool. old school
For me it was certainly a fun trip down memory lane. Carol's work is great. I'd love to get a copy of the still with you in the camera truck and Don, Nilo, and I sitting there on the tail gate, and Gere on the bike. Thanks. CrewC BTW, so many people have slaughtered my name I hardly notice. Drew is actually close to Crew.

Philip Perkins
Those are some of the best set-stills I've ever seen. The only way to get that many ralaxed and natural pix is to have had the trust and good will of the people in them. Nicely done. philp
Mirror
I had forgotten about Taylor always wrapping his fingers individually with tape. I liked him - a good guy. But you better bring your "A" game. If you didn't, you'd get run over by his passion for the project. Interesting to talk to.

mikewest
Recorded an NZ film with Lisa Eilbacher in 1988 Great woman and eating fish and chips on a ferry she told a funny story! The producer of the movie asked her that if he ate a cockroach would she?!!!!!! She said yes as she thought it was a tall story. He pulled a roach out of a bottle and ate it!!!!!!!!!!! So she shot a survival scene with Richard Gere where she ate a roach!!!!! They had been reared eating only bran so were totally safe. Lisa said the hardest part was trying to chew it as it kept running towards your mouth!. The scene did not get included in the edit. Wonderful stuff - thanks Lisa wherever you are mike
