Ty Ford
You probably won't end up using this mic on a shoot, but you never know when you might be asked to mic someone in an operating MRI. Benjamin Gandy
Very interesting. I have no idea how long this was around but when doing my degree I considered writing my dissertation on an optical transducer for sound pickup. I didn't end up doing it, but the reflection idea used here is something I never thought of. I imagined LEDs behind ribbons and all sorts of junk. qwerty
If I had the money to spare, I would buy the optical mic, a radio telescope which really a mic for the stars (here in NYC they are tricky to use due to the rf but you can maybe get the sun on a small radio telescope), and a hydrophone.
