Arri announced a new documentary style camera. Wow!

There's no specification on the audio inputs yet, but it looks like they could be TA3 connectors.

Maybe that's a question for Bash to ask at the IBC?

Looks nice! I've always longed for a camera to replace the XDCAMs in the ENG world. Maybe that day finally has come...

Separate display for accessing and monitoring all audio functions

Very handy.

On single system gigs, when camera and rigging are built up like a transformer, I've had a lesser experienced AC (or worse, a resentful DIT doing double duty as AC) struggle with finding the display to show me audio meters through the day.

best

Not sure if there'll be a slot in receiver.. I doubt it. I think they've thought that you should hire a sound mixer for your gigs ;)

Yep, they show an ENG sound mixer in many shots of the promo reel.

I wonder if it has the same excellent Ambient TC section as the Alexa?

Glad to see another camera with AES3 input.

This looks great. Can't wait to work on a shoot with it.

Also, regarding to the word AMIRA, I don't think it is a spanish word. "Mirar" certainly means "to look", and when used in a sentence it may be conjugated as "mira", but "amira" I believe is not a word in spanish.

According to Wikipedia, Amira means Rich or Princess:
