stevegrider
I sent off one of my Comtek 216 transmitters to the mother ship for a faulty jack. They returned a unit that seemed to be brand new. The cost was very reasonable. I know I just gave the definition of good customer service, but lately it that is a rarity. Kudos to Comtek for their excellent work.

dsound
Indeed! Only high praise for Comtek service. Can't say that about Sennheiser's service. -D
dfisk
Back in my Coffey Sound days I remember them being great to deal with. They were always very friendly and gave me excellent service, AND they weren't shy about answering technical questions when I was new and learning the gear. Derek H
Sennheiser can be good. I think the trick is to call them in Connecticut and make sure you talk to the tech who is actually going to do the repair. Then put the package to their attention when you send it in. Scott Smith
+1 for Comtek. On some very rare occasions, they've made some mistakes (especially this past year, during which they were unusually backlogged), but have always responded quickly. And I've never had a problem getting through to the guy in charge. Wish there were more companies like them... Haven't had to deal with Neumann/Sennheiser this past year, but in general they have been pretty good. Also, when we were having some RF issues with the first generation of MKH-60 mics back in the day, Uwe Sattler was on a plane to our location with his RF analyzer in tow two days later, and within 2 weeks or so we had a modified prototype, which solved all the issues. That kind of customer service is hard to come by these days... --S
RPSharman
Keith at COMTEK is not only going to handle my repair, as he always does so graciously, but he's also dealing with production instead of me, which goes above and beyond the call of duty. afewmoreyears
Robert you are spot on.... Above and beyond.... Lauren and Keith are fantastic.... If I was looking to show how customer service was to be run as a blueprint, I would use Comtek as one of a few rare few examples... We are actually lucky.... In my day to day life I seldome find customer service like the sound companies we deal with...
