dfisk
Last year we started shipping the KBLT35 boom case, and it has been a good seller. Many people asked us to make a longer version, so we did. It is the KBLT52. It can hold any boom pole that has a minimum collapsed length of 52 inches or less. It's pretty much just a straight up longer version of the KBLT35. These are available right now. The price is $235. Contact your local dealer in order to purchase. dominiquegreffard
Thanks for releasing this. I've been waiting on this longer version for a while. Could a 125mm wide rycote windjammer fit in there?
dfisk
It should.
Cloud Wang
so that's about 132cm, David do you know this case could fit couple Ambient 4140 poles and another couple more shorter poles as well ? And can they survive in the rough condition as checking in luggage ?(hopefully ) best Cloud
SYsounds
Bravo!
dfisk
Hey Cloud, It can absolutely handle rough conditions. It is a rigid bag/case. We have checked the shorter version on international flights several times and it never had problem. These things are built tough so you can throw them around, kick them, and drop them and they'll be just fine. The 4140 is too long to fit in this case. If this case were any longer it would be too much of a pain to use the shoulder strap. We designed it around our K-202CCR boom pole. Of course anything shorter than 52 inches collapses will fit just fine, plus other stuff like headphones, microphone cable, windscreens, or anything else you can fit into there. Cloud Wang
Thank you David. For a 152CCR, can I go with KBLT35? Best
dfisk
Thank you David. For a 152CCR, can I go with KBLT35? Best No. The KBLT35 is designed around the k102CCR, so it'll be too short. You should go with the KBLT52.
Nick Campbell
And can they survive in the rough condition as checking in luggage ?(hopefully ) I just spent a month bringing hell to my KBLT35. Not even a scratch on it! I did a month-long tour doc and it got manhandled by venue loaders, people in the tour van, dragged on the ground, etc and it kept my K-Tek carbon boom, Rycote blimp, and hyper mic in shock mount totally safe. berniebeaudry
Would the Cinela Piano blimp fit in either case?
Diego Sanchez
And can they survive in the rough condition as checking in luggage ?(hopefully ) best Cloud I have had mine for almost a year and i have to say is superb! I have travel with it in the check in luggage to many places (austria, india, denmark, guatemala, and more) with an ambient boom pole, a dipstick and a rycote basket. It all traveled very well. dfisk
Would the Cinela Piano blimp fit in either case? I haven't tried it, but my gut tells me no. That thing is pretty beefy and I think it's diameter is too big.
Cloud Wang
Thank you Dave Nick Diego. Sounds like the thing I'm looking for :-) will check it out soon. Best
Sndspd
I got my 52 case a few days ago and its the case I've been waiting for to store my boom poles. I love it! Thank you to Dave, Brenda, and Karen for the excellent service and chat when I stopped by. Gabe

soundtrane
55 inches + would have made it hold a K251...

Darn, I had a feeling that was going to be the answer. I'm going to measure it though and send you the dimensions just in case.
Sndspd
Hi Bernie. The Cinela Piano will not fit in the case. Even if you broke down the Piano by taking the top part off, its a no go. Sorry. Gabe
dfisk
55 inches + would have made it hold a K251... Oddly enough, just a few extra inches and it was too big to be able to wear over my shoulder with the shoulder strap without it dragging on the ground. soundtrane
the shoulder strap can be moved lower so it carries the case above the ground? For me, this case is more to carry two poles (K251) than carry it on my shoulder... -vin
