studiomprd
I just want to point out the differences in ruggedness of the real professional and "semi-professional" (aka pro-sumer) gear. there are reasons the cheaper gear is priced lower, and this applies to wireless microphones, as well... OmahaAudio
The only difference between "professional" and "semi-professional" equipment is who's using it.

RScottATL
While off topic, I'll agree that semi pro and pro gear have two different requirements for performance. The difference in a pro and semi pro using low-grade gear is that the pro puts it back in the case and pulls out a better tool (as needed). Constantin
Technically, the difference between a pro and everyone else is that the pro gets paid. Equipment doesn't make anyone a pro, nor is someone making eqiupment pro just by using it. If you are helping out on a student film, and your gear is being serviced, so they rent something for you (Roland R44, Sennheiser ME66, etc.) and you get the job done. Who or what is pro?
