Glen Trew
Trew Audio and Georgia's local sound pros have a lot to look forward to this summer as we finally open shop in Atlanta. The issue of sales tax was always the obstacle in the past, but Georgia production is too significant for Trew Audio to not have local presence. So be looking for a fully stocked Trew Audio store with sales, rental, repair, and custom cable shop soon. Staff interviews will start soon, so anyone interested in employment opportunities should send their info to jobs@trewaudio.com (please put "Atlanta" in the subject line). TomBoisseau
Glen, Delighted to hear the good news. It certainly will be very convenient for me if I need additional gear or just want to have a look at the latest and greatest. The only annoying thing, as you mentioned, is now having to pay sales tax! Tom
Brian Maier
At least sales tax is only 6 or 7% in GA and not 13% like it is here in Ontario.
Matthew L Hankins
At least sales tax is only 6 or 7% in GA and not 13% like it is here in Ontario. Sales tax in Nashville, at Trew Audio central is not that high, but it is 9.25% which still hurts sometimes. I like that GA rate.

OmahaAudio
Trew audio is like Starbucks - they are everywhere. You'll be able to say that the day Trew open a branch across the street from another Trew store.
Adam Jones
This is great news. Looking forward to seeing the store! Sales tax here depends on city and county, so my fingers are crossed for incorporated Dekalb county...
Mirror
In Cali. I only pay 3% tax on my sound gear. Information is knowledge!
Solid Goldberger
Even for someone who only comes to Atlanta occasionally for travel jobs, this is very welcome news. Now quick, somebody open up in Chicago and San Francisco and we'll be well equipped coast to coast.

sounddguy
Sales tax here depends on city and county, so my fingers are crossed for incorporated Dekalb county... If you want to save on sales tax you want Cobb, Cherokee, Fayett, Gwinnett or Rockdale all 6%.

The Fabulous Gerry Formicola opened up Second City Sound. I think he's been open for a year now. Great guy and a good shop. He's on the ball for sure.
