Thomas Popp
Hello everyone - I need to put the word out for (2) TRX900LANC Transmitters that were stolen off of a job on 5/2-2014 in Las Vegas. Units had DPA 4063 lavaliers and 4GB SanDisk micro SD cards in the units as well. Serial numbers of the transmitters are 3768 & 3769 Lavs are unknown at this point until I find out which two were taken... Units were lost as the MGM Grand when talent took them off and put them down somewhere. One could have made it to the Hard Rock Casino before being taken off. Casinos have been notified. Curious if people can be on the lookout for them as well. Thanks, ~Thomas Popp 818-359-1348

RadoStefanov
File a police report with the serial numbers. Pawn Shops file their purchases in a police database.
Thomas Popp
Does anyone know, if you have to physically be present in order to file a police report? I didn't have time to file one, and I'm already home... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
berniebeaudry
Sorry for the theft Thomas, what a pain! You should be able to do the police report by phone. I had a laptop taken in Florida a few years ago and they took my report over the phone. Hope you get your gear back! Bernie
johnpaul215
Especially because there's noting for them to see (like a kicked in door or something), I wouldn't be surprised if they took the report over the phone. You probably will need a police report for insurance reasons anyway.... if you have gear insurance.

Thomas Popp
They absolutely are, however with bigger productions, paperwork is a bitch and takes weeks to go through the paper trail. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Thomas Popp
So I just called the Las Vegas Police Department. Here's a tip for everyone, when you call the 311 number and file a report, they will not even accept serial numbers. They collect the information and then they say that they will call you back within 3 to 5 business days. From there we just need to wait for that phone call to give them all of the information. The interesting thing, they told me that when they call, the number may come up blocked or as 1111. They said they will call two times in a row to ensure that you pick up the phone. If you do not pick up the phone, they said you will have to call 311 again and resubmit the claim. Man that's going to be fun trying to pick up the phone while I'm working… Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
