Philip Perkins Posted May 25, 2014 Report Share Posted May 25, 2014 Many of us here like the Boom Recorder app for computer recording with a TC ref. Check it out @ the VosGames site. You can transfer the recorded files to drives for delivery to the production just like any file. Sync over many minutes is a tough issue with this setup, since the equipment you propose has no external clock input. I have heard of people combining this console with a 1 RU PreSonus pre/interface that does have external clock (and then using an external clock device like Deneke SB3 or Betso), but you might want to contact Presonus on how to set that up. I did a great deal of successful sync multitrack recording with a laptop, Boom Recorder, some MOTU interfaces and an external TC and Word Clock generator, so it is very possible.
