Prahlad Strickland
Wanted to pick up the new TRX LT2. Just wondering if anyone has compared it to the also new TRX LA2 I understand the battery life will be half due to one lithium. But i'd like to know considering it has a 50mw output limit. How does this effect range?, it's the new version 2, so is that range loss not much? My hope was that the range would still far out perform the old TRX 900 LA2NC Any info would be appreciated. studiomprd
want to be able to get from the summit of Haleakala to the summit of Mauna Lo'a on a good day...?? frankly, from the tone of your questions, I suspect 'unreasonable expectations'... you could give Zaxcom a call.... Jack Norflus
Why are you leaning to the LT Vs the LA?
Prahlad Strickland
Hahaha. No just hoping it can out perform the trx900la. At 50mw. Generally outside 50ft my trx900lanc's start getting some dropouts. Jack.. I'll be getting a total of 5 tx. I just wanted one of those to be miniature. After seeing you and glen in New York I had to have me some version
Wandering Ear
The difference is wideband, but that won't affect range. The increase in performance is a combination of the new XR modulation (software) and receiver technology, so unless you need wideband, I don't see the benefit in upgrading your tx. I have updated my current tx / rx and while it's improved. It's still not as strong as my old lectro range. i'd say 100 - 120ft and that starts to be close to a few red light action. It was my understanding that the new version 2 tx / rx were improved vastly over this range. with standard antena use does anyone else know how much the lt version 2 tx is handicapped for signal distance compared to the la version 2?
