bmfsnd
Hello sound galaxy, Does anyone know who's rolling sound on Episode VII? Naturally, I've got a not-creepy-and-very-relevant gift box of shirts to send to the sound crew. Live long and prosper, Matt

studiomprd
Chewy: " The interns would get sweet shirts. " I don't know where you have been working, but on the studio lots, when something gets delivered, to the appropriate production office, and from there to the proper (addressee) party; note security may be involved. Marc Wielage
Matt, you could theoretically send a box of them to J.J. Abrams' LA office: Bad Robot c/o J.J. Abrams 1221 Olympic Blvd. Santa Monica, CA 90404 (310) 664-3456 I don't know the names of anybody there, but I bet that packages go out from the Santa Monica office to the London office every day, and it's possible they would forward the shirts. studiomprd
one could even call Bad Robot, and politely ask...
bmfsnd
I imagine that BR is flooded with calls every day about the movie, so I want to find a more appropriate channel.
studiomprd
Matt: " so I want to find a more appropriate channel. " and I submit that may be the most appropriate channel, and maybe the easiest...
Shastapete
or you know, posting to a web forum where many of the world's top sound mixers "hang out" might just get Matt in touch immediately... it may not, but worth the effort *oldhat* *newhat* *redhat* *bluehat*

Marc Wielage
No, Lucasfilm has been surprisingly tolerant of fans who make little home movies, write internet stories, dress up in costumes, and all that stuff. As long you're not trying to make a commercial product (and Matt is not doing this), they don't really care. There's a big difference between a fan making a couple of dozen T-shirts in his garage vs. somebody making 10,000 of them in China for sale at flea markets around North America. studiomprd
marc: " Lucasfilm has been surprisingly tolerant of fans who make... " but George sold it all to Disney... me, I'd let the big dog lay blissfully sleeping...
bmfsnd
just offering a devil's advocate perspective... I appreciate that. I've spoken to several specialists and it all comes down to my design being a parody under Fair Use, and I'm not selling it as official merch. I'd like to send it to them as a gift, but have yet to hear back from the PSM...
Bash
I believe that Stuart Wilson is the 1st Unit Mixer. I believe that Tim White, of this parish, is 2nd Unit Mixer. Kindest, Bash
