TommLab Posted July 25, 2014 Report Share Posted July 25, 2014 Hi all, i'm currently making some adapters to use Sennheiser Evolution terminated mikes into Lectrosonic tx. Yes i've RTFM ;-) of both lectro and senny and cabled as this: SLEEVE and RING to pin one TIP to pin three Jumped pin 2 to pin 4 Pin 5 is unconnected Now i'm noticing a huge drop in gain from the mikes... i need to crank the gain to maximum to get proper levels from my UM200C. TommLab Posted July 25, 2014 Author Report Share Posted July 25, 2014 As others confirmed the wiring is correct, as specified in lectro manuals as "2 WIRE ELECTRET MIC POSITIVE BIAS". The adapter works fine. I can now say the gain drop is supposedly coming from faulty mke2s connectors (sennheiser seem to have wired those mics differently over the years, 2 wires, 3 wires, etc).
