Dennis Kersten
Hi colleagues, Will work in LA/ Las Vegas in a couple of days. As far as I can see I can use my receivers / transmitters in the 600 MHz range. Am I right? Thanks!

johnpaul215
Hi colleagues, Will work in LA/ Las Vegas in a couple of days. As far as I can see I can use my receivers / transmitters in the 600 MHz range. Am I right? Thanks! -EDITED- Both cities may require a bit of scanning if you move around, but 600-698MHz is legal and you should find some usable frequencies just fine. John Blankenship
Both cities may require a bit of scanning if you move around, but 600-699MHz is legal and you should find some usable frequencies just fine. 698mHz is the current legal upper frequency. codyman
I just shot there using Block 24. Only needed two lavs but didn't have a problem locking in a couple of working frequencies while there.
Freeheel
Everyones focusing on Vegas, but Dennis is shooting in LA as well, and I have not found Block 24 to be all that good in Los Angeles. There's a spot in the middle of the block that you can usually fit a couple of wires into, but if you are extensively in block 24 and you have more than 2 block 24 wireless, you may have some issues. John Steigerwald
Most casinos offer guest frequencies? MGM grand? That is where I am headed today. See if you can get a hold of Dana Mead @ MGM. He's the audio head and can give you a list of every frequency in use on the property.
