Wandering Ear Posted August 11, 2014 Report Share Posted August 11, 2014 The difference is they aren't bouncing light off of the object and reading it, they are capturing high frame rate video and analyzing it. While conceptually the same, the implementation is much different. I find it pretty cool they are able to use the rolling shutter to capture vibrations above the frame rate of the video.
