johngooch
I know the topic of keyboard mounting has been discussed. Many the solutions were for regular keyboards and involved the the use of hardware. That would probably be excessive. Any have a good low profile cart based keyboard mount? If there was a thread on this , I could not find it. Feel free to direct me. Thanks. J.
Karl Wasserman
Two small strips of doublesided carpet tape and black 1" paper tape around the edges to keep it from lifting off. You could also just use Topstick...
johngooch
Thanks karl- hope your well. Thinking more along the lines of of hardware for keyboard shelf/drawer But obviously, because it does not weight more than few onces- something lightweight and low profile. Most 1 RU shelves are pretty heavy and overkill. I made one for old cart old of lightweight plywood and and tongue groove sliding mechanism. It was terribly sexy and sort of worked. Looking for better.
John Steigerwald
You could reuse your wood idea (keep the weight down) but with drawer slides in place of the tongue and groove.
Karl Wasserman
I'm presently looking at this "two-stage" pull-out shelf from Gator for use with a CL-9 controller and a Virtually Indestructible Keyboard: http://www.gatorcases.com/p/217138-1590/ge-kbd-shelf Is this the sort of thing you mean? If not, there's lots of single space, very flat roll-out shelves in rackmount format.
johngooch
Karl- sort of, but 17 pounds of hardware to mount a flexible keyboard... Prefer easy integration into rackmount though.

Matthias Richter
You wanna look for pencil drawer - mounts underneath of any top shelf
taylormadeaudio
Have you looked at the MidAtlantic stuff? http://www.middleatlantic.com/products/accessories/adjustable-sliding-rackshelves/sliding-shelf.aspx Might be overkill, but they make great products ~tt
johngooch
Atlantic and usual sliding shelf options way too heavy. Mathias, your pencil drawer idea is a good one... I will do some searching. The keyboard only weighs a few ounces..... weight is everything,.
