Prahlad Strickland
One of my carts has a qrx 100 and two qrx 200s Wondering with micplexir2 how many blocks can be boosted. Since the 200s r wide band. Just wondering if I can have the 100 on block 21. And the 200s say on block 23. All 3 boosted by the one mic plexir? Chur Prahlad. soundslikejustin
Nope. The internal filter in the MicPlexer2 is 35Mhz wide. You could possibly get away with the high end of 21 and low end of 22...
Prahlad Strickland
I read the manual and understand it can be tuned to a 35mhz window. Just wondering if a second window is accommodated. Wishful thinking maybe.
Prahlad Strickland
Thanks man. Sorry I didn't read your post till after I posted my second one. Ok sweet. I was just curious if the 2 had second 35mhz window.
Ze Frias
MicPlexer 2 only has one 35MHz filter. It has presets for every block, and has two variable presets that you can tune to specific frequencies, and thus set the filter to non-block-specific 35MHz band. So in essence, all the receivers that are being fed by the MicPlexers 2 must have their frequencies set within 35MHz of each other. In your case, if your QRX100 is block 21, you can set your QRX200s to block 21 and use the MicPlexer 2 in preset 1 (for block 21), or as Justin suggested, you can set your QRX100 to a frequency on the high end of 21, and your QRX200s to frequencies in the low end of 22, then set the MicPlexer 2 to one of the variable presets tuned to be between blocks 21 and 22. johnpaul215
The nice thing is that with all digital wireless, you can pack a lot of mics in that 35MHz piece. Remember this isn't analog or hybrid, so it doesn't follow those restrictions. I don't offhand remember how many channels you can pop in there, but 6 is no problem.
