Richard Thomas
Mine puts out a load at 470MHz, none of the legal freq ranges we've been allocated are anywhere near this, though
dolo72
"Really glad your R4 is working out well for you Lisala" Thanks John- yeah it's working well here in the UK - it's a pain having to use a mixer infront in the bag for fast paced drama jobs but I mainly do commercials so its fine for that . I am planning on getting one of the new SX R4+'s depending on which one of the pilots I've been working on happens. Lisala
Cloud Wang
is the R4+ will have something like "AutoMix" or "Mix Assistant" ? and are the knobs on the R4+ will be fader or trim only ? didn't mention on the website and as I recall the knobs on R4 are trim only. Anyone knows info on these ?

I was hoping I can check out the unit at NAB and consider a purchase. Not very likely now...

RadoStefanov
I just saw the picture on trew audio. there is a horrible design error- the SD card slots. I hope they change that and a few other things.
VASI
There is a cover in the last update.
dominiquegreffard
There is a cover in the last update. Oh man, hate to repeat but everything is there but why no balanced outputs?? I simply cannot buy the thing if i can t plug it to a camera. I hope they reconsider their choice. Really nice integrated design. Grrr.. VASI
@dominiquegreffard : Read above comments for alternative solutions; especially Richard Thomas recommendation "Studios Technologies". I agree with you about the unbalanced thing.

RadoStefanov
Quick question about gain control: How does it work. One knob controls all?
Richard Thomas
Quick question about gain control: How does it work. One knob controls all? Essentially there isn't any- it's switched gain for mic and line level and the dynamic range should cover the full range of the input (similar to neverclip and the RME dual ADC setup). I expect the levels going to isos may end up being adjustable in software, though. Each of the knobs also has a switch when they're pushed in- something like pushing that in then adjusting the menu knob on the right could work? (I'm guessing here). The knobs for 5 and 6 are actually pots before the signal hits the ADC

pvanstry
Size comparison or less glamorous, I simple way of raising and aligning the Sonosax recoded/preamp to the fader panel.

I think you're right. I was at the booth and the Maxx was probably the easiest thing to use as a "stand" to raise the Sonosax up.
Earl
My question was rhetoric, but it's good to know about that Maxx stand
Earl
Jeff, did you get to see a demo of the new Sonosax products? I must say, just from that photo the SX-R4+ screen looks really good.
RadoStefanov
I shot a detailed video of the menu. Will upload later tonight or tomorrow.
