NewEndian
So I'd like to start programming in Apple's new Swift programming language (which is definitely cleaner than their old Obj-C), but it won't support versions of iOS earlier than 7.0. That means iPhone 3GS and original iPad would be out, as well as both 3rd and 4th generation iPod touches. Mind you, I feel it is more important to keep LectroRM compatible with older devices. This would be for continuing work on FreqFinder. So, in short, who is still using these devices: - iPhone 3GS - iPad 1st Generation - iPod Touch 3rd and 4th generation Thanks, James

Because it's great. A jailbreak 5.1.1 with a dozen tweaks works very very well.

Me too, although so much software now requires 6.0 or higher that I think my patience has run its course.
Bondelev
I just sold my 2nd gen ipad because it was painfully slow in iOS 8.
NewEndian
I've decided to integrate a crash reporting API, unfortunately it won't support devices running iOS versions below iOS 6. So, I will be making the transition to make iOS 6 the minimum requirement. The following devices will continue to run FreqFinder but will not be able to receive future updates: iPad 1st Generation / iPod Touch 3rd Generation Unfortunately this doesn't buy me much. When I finally transition to iOS 7, it'll close off a huge amount of legacy UI code that I've been dying to get rid of, and I'll actually be able to support iPad screens. But I think the crash reporting is important because it's been happening a little bit too much recently and FreqFinder is only getting more and more complex.I'll try to leave older devices with a decent version to live on. NewEndian
Figured out how to get the crash reporter into iOS 5.1.1, though it doesn't do its job in 5.1.1. Still, 5.1.1 lives to see another day
