Jaymz
this might go good in the appropriate discussion thread about Interstellar's sound mix..? No, the video is about the fantastic work of the sound effects editors and recordists. Not the decisions made in the final mix. It's not their fault Nolan decided to beat us over the head with the Zimmer stick. In regards to the video, very informative. Did I understand correctly, that room tone from the interior ship sets was used as the main ambience for those scenes?

Constantin
Tom, have you stayed a bit too long in the reefer thread?
studiomprd
Jaymz: " No, the video is about the fantastic work of the sound effects editors and recordists. " exactly, and thus about the mix and its potential issues... " Not the decisions made in the final mix " IMO you cannot separate them in considering or discussing the two "separate" topics... but frankly, that probably isn't even worth discussing! the other thread is :" Does Christopher Nolan's 'Interstellar' Have Major Sound Mis Issues? " typo ? mix issues ?? yep, I think they are essentially the same discussion.... Edited November 23, 2014 by studiomprd
