Jeff Wexler
José Frías has a good review of the new ORCA case purpose built for Zaxcom ERX. READ the REVIEW
Ze Frias
Oh nice! Haha. Thanks for posting this up. The case is definitely worth checking out!
Jack Norflus
I real happy with mine. I like the full window and magnetic closure. I loop my cable under the closure to help prevent it accidentally pulling out.
dominiquegreffard
Oh nice! Haha. Thanks for posting this up. The case is definitely worth checking out! Good review jose. I agree that a removable clip would have been better in my opinion since most of the time my erx's are on mounted on cameras. A system with a clip à la petrol pouch with one belt clip, one flat surface plate and one surface plate with a hot shoe would be amazing. That would allow user to switch in relation to the use of the erx. The myriad of applications that these things can do cause a great challenge of protection and packaging it right to keep the functionnality high. For now i m still waiting for a better solution. simply creating a "window" on my existing phone cases sounds like the most logical way to obtaning something i'm really happy about. Kudos for orca for taking in the challenge. It's not easy.

I certainly agree that a modular system that offers the great protection and accessibility that these cases offer, while also giving me the versatility of use via swappable clips, mounts etc is the ideal solution. The other challenge this adds is price. Currently these retail at $16, which I find a very reasonable price. But creating such a product like we're describing will likely increase the cost substantially ($30? $40?). Will users be willing to pay that price when they can get $10 phone cases and mod them some to get them to what they need?
justanross
Too bad you can't find the ones I did. I love them.
Abe Dolinger
These Body Glove cases (slightly different from Justan's) are great for me. You can pry the belt clip off with pliers and replace with Velcro for camera mounts. I'd choose them again over the Orcas becase the depth of the case protects the switch & headphone jack. Not bad for $13. http://www.acedepot.com/body-glove-ez-view-universal-smartphone-case-fits-most-cell-phones-1-pack-retail-packaging-black.html

dominiquegreffard
Thanks! I'll try ordering. But most American sites don't ship to Canada :-( Let us know if you manage to order some to canada. These looks like what i could use. The extra size of the sides seems to protect a bit more i agree.
