Mack
How many of you actually use the plastic screen protector while recording with the 633? I have found that mine doesn't stay on, or I haven't been able to get it snapped into place to stay on. So far, I have only used it to protect the screen during transport. Was curious what others have been doing. I guess I should order another one.
Soundwil
I found mine didn't fit properly - concluded that it needed further cutting. Haven't got round to that yet. Thinking of maybe putting a phone screen protector cut to size in place.
jpbat
I tried the phone screen protector approach and found difficult : a- to cut it at the exact dimension, and b- to apply it without any dust bit trapped under. I came back to the original plastic protection. At least I can remove it, clean out my sandwich crumbs, and put it back. I wonder if we can have some spare from Sound Devices. Probably yes. TomBoisseau
Yes. I use the supplied screen protector for both my 633 and 664. Thet both fit fine, you just have to bend them to side into place behind the front "edges". Once slid into place it should lay flat just fine. Johnny Karlsson
The supplied screen protector worked ok for a while, but developed scratches and iMO did not help with sunlight. I went with phone protector film and, yes my first try did not go well, but the one I ordered came with three pieces and each can be cut into two. There was also a dust cleaning thing in the package. Once I figued it out, it stayed on and is still staying on. It's anti glare as well and I like it just fine.
Freeheel
I used a fancy iphone one cut to fit- it came with fluid and a mini squeegee to get the bubbles out. Works great, hardly notice it's there. Cheers, Brent Calkin

afewmoreyears
I don't remember seeing one... Hummm... but I suppose a phone protector will be fine.
Mack
I didn't order it....it came with my 633. I have no idea where to get another one as I haven't seen it on a list of accessories anywhere. I'll probably call someone Friday, although I am quite intrigued by the phone screen protector route. Pat Slater
After seeing how scratched my protector screen got ( protecting ) I wonder if it is worth putting a phone protector laminate on the SD protector, and change it out more easily than one directly on the SD6** screen....?? chrisyking
I use mine. Came with the mixer.
Richard Nault
I found that the original screen protector gets dull and scratched which cut visibility, so I cut my own from a phone protector that I chopped down to size... Been working fine on my 664. The kind that comes with the liquid adhesive and a squeegee are the best. R

AndyB
I use the one that came with my 633. I had to look in the box a few times before I found it, I remember. After a year, its getting kind of scratched up, but not bad. I like the fact that it sits above the actual screen, which would seem to give a bit of extra protection from impacts. Armin Siegwarth
I once met a guy that had a broken 633 LCD after traveling with it in a pelicase. He did not use the provided screen protector. I guess a iphone foil woudn't have helped and its also good to protect that corner when travelling. Nevertheless the original one is bad for visibility. I even thought of putting an antireflektive foil on that one but did not do it.
Lancashire soundie
I'd love some kind of large clip on plastic cover to go across the entire fascia of my Nomad, for use during transport. It could clip onto the rails at either end of the mixer and protect the device from scratches and bangs while in the boot of my car.
Jon Gilbert
I bought a 2 pack of iPad mini screen protectors, 2 quid from TK (J) Maxx, there's about 16 664 screens worth there.
Rasmus Wedin
I use it. It fits great and scratches on it are minimal (so far...)

pocketworld
The one that came with my 633 didn't quite fit so I had to cut the upper right edge with a small scissors. It does cut visibility a little but I think it's a good trade-off for the extra protection that the screen gets.
