Christmas Overtime rates

Being an atheist, I would conscientiously object to asking for an additional fee for working on Jesus's birthday, a birth that I don't personally attribute a higher meaning to.  If given a bonus rate, as a gift, then I'll respect the traditions of your religious / commercial belief system.  Since my significant other is Israeli by birth, she has no right to object to my working on a Christian religious holiday either.

As a fellow atheist, Tom, I look at December 25th as a day to spend with family and do the whole eat, drink and be merry thing. Its nice to have a day that is set aside for that once a year. I would ask for a higher rate to work on that day, for the reason that it widely accepted that people spend that day at home with family.
