Dante's "supposed to be" AVB compliant when the standards are all confirmed.  But they don't actually talk yet.  AVB does require more specialised routers, while Dante will work from off the shelf stuff.  However, as long as the hardware's all there I can't see a reason why boxes can't support multiple standards (except licensing cost)

I am drooling but only two unbalance out... Because of that and only because of that, I simply can't.

Modern sets requires at least two main balanced out and two Auxes. Without does, I can't do close to 75% of my jobs. Mind you I do half docu and half fiction now.

Such a shame... Jacques, Pierre is it too late? You give me two balance mix out and two aux out ( unbalanced ) and I give a deposit today, and I know at least another guy who would....

Please, pretty please...

I agree but I see a connector on the side of the fader panel so maybe it can be remoted.

re outputs, I guess they figure someone using this would only be feeding wireless monitor etc,

not being connected by a balanced cable to anything.  In my case that would be true most of the time,

although more programmable outs would be welcome (ie can have diff mixes etc).  For splits of the main

in a cable situation I can make a simple splitter myself.

A machine of that size with built in battery tray, small screen district is clearly not going to live in a cart all the time. It is begging to be taken in a bag for docu work. In that regard a balanced set of mix out is really needed. And for cart work, I need to feed two boom op and an ifb.

So what market is intended for? Cause I see lacking in both... It's really a shame. Please add outs.

Haha no worries Pascal! I agree with more outputs (one or two it's fine), but this is different from "mixer/recorder" concept. I think this cover 100% the needs for our industry (Greece) and a lot more.

If I will see or had two boom operators here; I will make a trip in my knees from my city to Athens. Hahah

Looks great to me it would cover all the work I do. I wonder at what point the faders would be in the archeitecture and if you need the extra 8 mic amp unit to mix line level sources through the faders into the SX R4+. I agree it definitely needs at least 4 outputs for me ( 3 boom and 1 mono mix ) and some sort of output assignable talkback input would be nice even if just in the fader pack. I could put this and 12 radio's in one Peli case then just 1 van for the boom poles, carpet, blankets, hogs hair, foam etc etc etc. ( also be nice Jaques if the faders can work with the current SXR4's serial input with a firmware upgrade of course

A sound devices user would not like the RX4 becasue the lack of pan, gain,lc and pfl.

PFL = push the knob

Gain, Filter, etc.. on the menu

Control surface = wired, can be placed where you want

Such a shame... Jacques, Pierre is it too late? You give me two balance mix out and two aux out ( unbalanced ) and I give a deposit today, and I know at least another guy who would....

We maybe add a balanced out in the future, but will take the place of the RJ-45.

Maybe, we have to consider a monitoring box in the future.

The SX-R4+ as not the pretention to replace the SX-62R, or the SX-ST with intercomm features...

Thank you Mr Sax for shining in. The reason I am so insistant is because I am absolutely in love with the idea of this product. The concept is great. I believe that with adding those output, you would reach a much larger buyer base.

On the other end, you might have another product in mind, a Sx62 replacement coming up.

What would work for me, would be replacing the TA3 connector ( aux out ), by a ta5 and having 4 outs unbalanced, at worst I can balance outs when needed. Of course a better, sturdier connector would be nice but it would still make me buy a full kit for sure.

Possible?

Thank you so much

Pascal
