Jan McL
Congratulations all around, but especially to NYC production mixer Tom Varga and his boom operator Brendan O'Brien and utility / 2nd boom Adam Sanchez whose "Birdman" effort was extraordinary. So good that a motion picture that clearly relied on stick-mounted mics for much of the dialog got a huge nod of approval from the sound community. Makes me very happy. Ze Frias
I'm so excited to see that Birdman won! Most definitely my favorite movie of the year, and such an extraordinary and marvelous execution of sound in spite of its many many challenges! Congrats to all the winners and nominees! RPSharman
"Birdman" sound was great. Blended so nicely to tell the story with the imaginative camera work, direction, and performances. Well deserved. Also congrats to my new friend John Mooney for his work on "Sherlock".
hartonjohn
Congratulations to all the winners! Last night was my first CAS and it was spectacular! I can't wait to get out in the world and start working with you talented folks!
Philip Perkins
Yeah "Birdman". The other noms were great sound jobs too, but "Birdman" was one of those films that stretched the notions of what could actually be done production soundwise on a dramatic film. Big congratsos to Sound Devices too!
