Battery life of the NP-F550 on a SRb

Good day my fellow sound peeps.

Not sure if I'm posting in the right thread.Sorry if I do!!

Just a question....

I usually use the NP-F970 lithium batteries on my SRb receiver and it lasts a few days.

Bought a NP-F550 today and just want to know what the average hours you guys get out of it?Or should I rather ask,at what voltage does the SRb switches off?

Thank you in advance

Hi Ruvis,

From the data sheet for the SRb on WWW.lectrosonics.com, the run time is "Typical runtime with a 7.2 V, 2200 mA “L” style battery is approximately 11 hours."

If you have a battery with a different rating, you can take a ratio. Be aware (Beware) that most generic "replacement" batteries are  usually junk and typically have less than half their rated capacity.

The SRb will run from the battery until the protection circuity in the battery shuts down, typically around 5.5 Volts.

Yup, making it to lunch easily with my knockoffs (DSTE brand on Amazon). Camera seems to grumble less than when using the NPF970.

I ordered a NP-40 battery rated at 1400 mAh. Will test when it gets here Friday and see how it does. DTSE seems to have an extensive line. If it doesn't make at least 700 mAh, Amazon will get it back.
