We had a person no longer on JW.. that would always say, "Complete kit before marriage" Now you will have to purchase items, leave in car until wife leaves... then you bring it in home. When asked about a suspect new piece of gear.. response should be.."that old thing, I've had that for a while....." It will work out, because she will be doing the same with shoes and such!
