al mcguire
I walked forty-seven miles of barbed wire, use a cobra snake for a neck tie Got a brand new house on the roadside, made from rattlesnake hide I got a brand new chimney made on top, made from a human skull Now come on baby let's take a little walk, and tell me "who do you love?" http://www.nytimes.com/2008/06/03/arts/music/03diddley.html?nytmobile=0&_r=1&

Jim Feeley
He also died in 2008. The anniversary of his death was Tuesday, though. To honor the man, the clip above is great. And here's a playlist of a few of the 100s of songs that borrowed his beat:
Jeff Wexler
2008? Wow, social media posts confusing us again. Makes me wonder what's happened to MY mind. I'm sure we all commented on his passing the first time but just forgot today? Ellas Otha Bates (December 30, 1928 – June 2, 2008).
RLightstone
Yes, Jeff, When I read that I thought I was looking into a way back machine. Incidentally, I have 90 minutes of interview with the famed Bo Diddley, recorded in 1972! This is a shameless plug for my podcasts; Talkin About The Blues Just the 'pilot' cast up presently as I'm looking to sponsor the 50 shows from over 40 hours of interviews. http://www.talkinabouttheblues.com/
old school
That sounds good RL. I hope it works out. As for Bo, somehow this is all over FB today. CrewC
Jeff Wexler
I got sucked in, felt sad at his passing all over again. Possibly it is because it is the anniversary day of his death back in 2008.

al mcguire
Up way too early today and yes I got sucked in, you bet. I do feel passionate about Bo, he was totally ripped off by the music business and if my mistake gets him a little more credit 7 years after his death than I can deal with that. He was an American original.
