Marc Wielage
I haven't seen this posted elsewhere... There's a terrific interview with Jeff on the website Uncool.com at this link: http://www.theuncool.com/2015/06/15/meet-the-crew-jeff-wexler/ Congrats to Jeff -- he has some terrific stories to tell, and the story is a very good read. I bet Jeff has got a book or two in him. Edited June 17, 2015 by Marc Wielage
Jeff Wexler
For the first time I really like a lot of the things I said in that interview. I thought about posting it here but thought it was a little too self-serving (but thank you, Marc, for posting the link). I did share it on Facebook and it is a pretty good read. Moesound
Thanks for posting this article. Good read. Goes to show what I've known for years: Jeff is primarily a filmmaker, who happens to record sound. Moe

VASI
Funny. The site has a name "uncool", but Mr. Wexler is way cool.
Jeff Wexler
The "uncool" comes from "Almost Famous" where Lester Bangs is counseling William Miller (Miller being the character name for the young Cameron Crowe) that he will never be cool. Philip Seymour Hoffman was brilliant in this movie. (starts at 7:06) Edited June 21, 2015 by Jeff Wexler
Marc Wielage
The "uncool" scene in Almost Famous is hands-down my favorite in the entire film. That's a great moment, and also very true.
