MATT CLEARY
Is the Lectrosonics WM tx still watertight when used with the ACOAXTX remote antenna? Does the sma connecter in the antenna have an o-ring or something to stop water entering? If not, how is the standard antenna made watertight? ryanpeds
I just used the WM a couple weeks ago, the one with the removable antenna. You can use any sma antenna with it. Lectrosonics website says that it uses a "compression sealed antenna port".
WesH
Hi Matt, Is the Lectrosonics WM tx still watertight when used with the ACOAXTX remote antenna? Does the sma connecter in the antenna have an o-ring or something to stop water entering? If not, how is the standard antenna made watertight? Ryan is correct regarding the sealed antenna port on the transmitter -- the WM itself is watertight, regardless of the antenna used. Our AMM series of antennas do indeed have an O-ring seal in its internal construction. The ACOAXTX antenna is also watertight; I imagine there is an O-ring in the construction of that particular antenna though I've never torn one apart to see how it's put together. Best, Wes Herron Lectrosonics, Inc.
