Todd Weaver
I'm starting a film Tuesday and am looking for an adapter for 48v powered boom mics for my new recorder. Edited August 17, 2015 by Todd Weaver
dfisk
I think Hasbro makes something, but you may need a custom cable made in order for it to work.

And I'm going for that vintage sound. I really love the volume control. It's just like the new cantar.

Johnny Karlsson
Not sure what adapter you need, but the cool thing about this recorder is that timecode stays in sync perfectly with all RED cameras.
Ze Frias
I hear Eric Toline is the go to person for custom adapter cables that work with this piece of gear. Though I suppose Matt Radlauer and Scott Beatty could also take care of you!
pindrop
How long ago would the capability of this recorder/player be jaw dropping? 75 years? You'll need firmware v. 31,567.969 and a return to factory hardware upgrade for 48v as this is a reissue of 1988-1990's #3808 Tape Recorder. A difference between #3818 and #3808 is the color of the control buttons and microphone. The #3808 has black control buttons and a red and black microphone.
