Laurence
Just a reminder for Local 695 members that tomorrow (Friday) or Saturday are the last chance to send in ballots for ratification of the new Basic Contract. That's the one with a 3% rate increase and 10% bump in pension for active participants. You may think that your one vote doesn't count for much... but it does. And in a larger sense, just the fact that you voted counts, too. The producers watch these things closely and when the vote count gets lower from year to year, they interpret that as being a sign that a disengaged membership is a membership ripe for exploitation at the next negotiations. Don't let that happen. Drop your postage-paid ballot in the mail as soon as you can. Edited August 21, 2015 by Laurence
old school
I finally got my ballot yesterday. It's in the mail today. I'm happy to report that my brother, 2 sons, niece, & nephew, (all proud members of 695) have voted and so should all who are eligible to do so. It's there for you and you should vote your interests.
