Prahlad Strickland
Love my zaxcom getups. But am jealous we don't have good rain resistant options like lectro. I was thinking a small plastic molded clip on case with rubber gaskets for the antenna could be an option for rain proofing. The water proof cell phone cases r clumsy and oversized. Compared to the lectro watertight txs. Glen. Any plans for some water tight options in the near future? reakon thin gasketed clip on cases could work? glenn
I understand that this is being worked on by a third party in the UK. Glenn
sanjay
I understand that this is being worked on by a third party in the UK. Glenn Do you have the name of the company? I've had one TX crash because of sweaty talent . It wouldn't have to be too sophisticated or bulky. Just some moisture protection.
KGraham045
I have had the same issue and had to send a TRX in for repair for "Sweat Corrosion." I would love something like this. I generally use Neopax always if talent is sweaty to help absorb sweat.
Derek H
Use a non-lubed condom. Or aquapax for real water use.
Prahlad Strickland
The aqua pac work well. But become cumbersome to hide. Especially with crop tops and shirtless jungle hippies like I had.
Abe Dolinger
Did you hide the lavs in their chest hair?
Prahlad Strickland
Did you hide the lavs in their chest hair? no. I went to a side stand in town selling necklaces.l that had some pretty stones on them. Just weaved it on that and taped it down their back. Nothing much else I could do with the tx. Clipped it on the little belts they were wearing.
sanjay
found this case from a portable pocket radio. fits perfectly. not quite waterproof but offers some good protection it would be great if someone could manufacture something like this. Prahlad Strickland
That's cool, definately the potential for a tight fitting thin custom cover for the TRX's and even rain proof, could be easily done. Maybe the wonderful Orca bags... like a clear thin stretchy see through cover that can help the zaxcom tx's withstand heavy rain. I'm gonna email mr ORCA, Edited November 2, 2015 by Prahlad Strickland
efksound
Would be nice if Orca could adapt their ERX pouch to the TRX , something like this : Edited November 2, 2015 by efksound
Matthew Sonnenfeld
Sanjay, could you link to those pouches?
Prahlad Strickland
Would be nice if Orca could adapt their ERX pouch to the TRX , something like this : yes like that. But improved up top. Needs to be stretchy condomm like material but thicker. So it can gasket itself to antenna / cable
sanjay
Sanjay, could you link to those pouches? I actually found it in a bin at a surplus store. ive tried to track down more but have had no luck. yes like that. But improved up top. Needs to be stretchy condomm like material but thicker. So it can gasket itself to antenna / cable ...and a better clip than the orcas. my erx's have hit the ground many times because of the weak grasp of the clip.
