chrisvankat
I have been having some connection problems with one of my Sennheiser EK 100 Receivers. None of my Transmitters will connect with it and I need to send it in for repairs. My question is: Is there is any way to use the serial number to decipher how old the unit is? I have purchased several over the past year, but wasn't smart enough to write down the serial number when I purchased it. I am hoping that it is still covered under my warranty. Any insight would be helpful. Thanks!
Mungo
Give Sennheiser a call. They're normally very helpful.
Jim Gilchrist
Hey, Chris. The serial number will tell you when the unit was made but might not indicate when you purchased it. If it's a question of length of the warranty Sennheiser's is 2 years so anything you bought in the last year or so is covered. Hope you are having fun in Bimini and hopefully I'll see you in January. Best regards, Jim
chrisvankat
Mungo and Jim, thanks for the help. I reached out to Sennheiser and after a little digging, they were able to get everything squared away. Another reason that I am glad to have stuck with them. Thanks!
