KGraham045
Hey, I'm using a Zax Maxx for an interview shoot. I have 2 Denecke SB3s on camera and a TS3 smart slate. All locked to 23.98 fps After only shooting for a 3 hours I noticed my Maxx was behind 3 or 4 seconds. But both lockits and slate were all consistent.. This isn't the first time I've noticed this happen... Anyone notice the Maxx having trouble holding TC?
Reuben Colazo
How old is your maxx? I think the TC battery needs to be changed every two years, mine is due soon here.

jason porter
If you power down the Maxx, you should probably rejam after you power back up. My Nomad will drift if powered down for more than a couple hours. To remedy this, I sometimes feed TC into my Nomad from an external source. macrecorder
Yes, I had a similar experience. It happened on random, odd occasions which i couldn't replicate on testing. The only solution was an external TC box.
KGraham045
That's my same experience.

Sometimes if you poweron Nomad or Maxx and press record right away it will not take the internal time code in to effect.
KGraham045
It's strange sometimes it's perfectly on all day and other times it slips like crazy... Very hard to replicate the issue.
hiro nakamura
got my nomad jammed with tentacle and one 664 and 633 for 3 crews running and gunning. After half day, my nomad has to re/jam from the tentacle, off synced by about 2 second...SD still accurate at that moment. Dont know why!!! macrecorder
Because of their use of the ambient technology, I have always found SD TC to be completely trustworthy, so I don't have to think about it. That's how I like it.
