ivobroum
Hi, (how) can i upgrade the MCR-42 receiver to be able to use the SEN, AL, etc. compatibility modes? I can acces the ENC and ENR modes only. Do i need to send it in or there is a way using the IR interface? Has anybody done that? Thanks
Richard Thomas
You need to send it in to a service centre to get more of the compatibility modes activated
hiro nakamura
Sad, I thought we could do it ourselves. Never used other transmitters, apart from Wisycom ones.
Tong0615
My dealer told me that MultiCompander is a extra Board, you have to ship back to factory for upgrade. I think it's the same for 5KHz upgrade for MTP, I have the 25KHz standard version, and I have to ship back to factory if I want to get 5KHz step. VM
I have two MCR 42 both came with all the compatibility modes. One purchased 3 years ago, the other purchased one month ago.
VM
I asked today to a dealer. So now it seems that to have all the companders you need to pay 200€ more to buy the "Digcom" option. He told me also that if you want to add it later, the receiver needs to ship to the factory.
pt
Raycom (UK distributor) did one of mine about a year ago for about £60 and they turned it around in a day.
