Can't log in without asking for a new password

Recommended Posts

Ben B

Hi,

I've had a problem since a couple of month. When i try to log in it always says that my password is incorrect (although i know it's correct) and the only way to log in is to ask for a new password by clicking "forgot your password". I've tried to log out and log back in just after resetting my password but it doesn't work. I have to ask for a new one again. Is it a known problem and is there a fix?

Thanks a lot and thanks for keeping this super useful forum running!

Ben

The problem is usually that you may not be using your Display Name to log in. The sign in box still says that you can use your username or your email address but this is not the case. Try using your Display Name (which in your case is "Ben B" --- just as entered here but no quotes) and your password. This has worked for most of the people that have had this problem. I will send you a personal email in case you are unable to read this. Make sure your browser is not auto-entering things the old way --- you may have to force it to not auto-fill.

Thank you very much for clarifying this. I had stopped coming into the forum as often because of this issue.

Same thing was happening to me, but I was definitely using my display name. Tapatalk seems to be playing up too, just shows a huge error message when I log in and in the end doesn't allow me to log in...

Anyone else having issues with Tapatalk?

Tapatalk is again acting up (you all know that I am not a fan). The last two updates to the forum software have broken Tapatalk. Additionally, as a site owner and licensed Tapatalk user, I am having trouble signing in to my Tapatalk account --- they have transitioned to a new "Tapatalk ID" system that is not working properly. So, I am not even able to try and update Tapatalk plug-in until I sort out my Tapatalk account.
