stacysound
Denecke's Facebook page confirms that the timecode toolbox app is not iOS 10 compatible. Are there any substitutions for this wonderful little app?
Paul Katzman
It doesn't do all the same things, but the Ambient app is ok and will also read TC over the headphone jack, which is the main thing I used the Denecke TC Toolbox for. Charlie Parra
Hi Guys, We are looking into what will be involved in updating the TC ToolBox app to make it IOS 10 compatible. We'll keep you posted. -Charlie
stacysound
I mainly use it to "generate" TOD TC to jam into the GR. Will the Ambient do that?

Nope, it will only read an external signal.

Everyone has to do that, and TC Toolbox did it with complete accuracy and zero monkeymotion. I'd pay $10 without blinking and probably twice that after a blink or two. This is a small industry, and we're all in it for life. We remember and respect leadership. How many do you need to sell? When can I buy one? Tom Visser
I used to use it on a daily basis at the start of each day too - just to get bang on TOD and automatic UB entry.
steve reynolds
I too would be happy to pay for this upgraded app. $10-$20 would seem fair.
nickreich
If a new version did basic timecode logging (enter a text note at the TC point - with the ability to export it as a CSV or something) as well as the original functionality, I'd happily pay considerably more, but even the basic version is valuable to me - it would be great to have it back. Crussell
Movie Slate can output timecode via the headphone jack on the iphone but it's not as simple and elegant as the TC Toolbox app was.
