soundgarten
Hi Everybody, What seem to be the clearest Lectro Blocks for use in and around Los Angeles. I've noticed that it seems that Block 22 is almost completely useless everywhere I try it. Since my original Venue was Block 21-22 only, of course I still have lots of Block 22 transmitters. I've gone to wide band low now, and I'm wondering which blocks are the best choices for me to go to now. Thanks for your help. afewmoreyears
Which ever ones come up clean when you check for clear frequencies... I'm not kidding, LA being do diverse in terms of terrain and the shear amount of broadcast material it varies depending on where you are at any particular time. Sometimes certain blocks work well in one area and are useless in others or 6 blocks all have some frequencies to use...More often than not, you'll find something on almost all blocks .... There is no magic bullet...
RPSharman
Hi Mark, I've been using 22 downtown with good results. But in some areas it's awful. My main boom and IFB are on 25, with good results. I'm using 21 as well. I've always been lucky in that I have a low track count. But I don't have much trouble still using 21/22. JonG
All blocks are good and bad depending upon where you are and at what time.

old school
Hey Mark, like those above posts, it varies by neighborhood w 21 & 22. I almost always get 2 0r 3 usable freqs on block 21 except in parts of Pasadena. 22 is usually very crowded in L A but yesterday in Pasadena there was a large open chunk of space. Easily could of picked 4 or 5 freqs. I've been having great success w block 20 most everywhere. Same for block 19 and whatever the block lower is called. Those seem the most open to me but as they are my newest units I haven't used them everywhere in SoCal. CrewC
cmassey
That lower block is 470. Good to hear it's useful in SoCal...worthless in N TX!
Mirror
blk 470 is a short block, so that you know.

The open half is very wide open. I have the 3 block 470, 19, 20 units. Good option in L A in my experience. CrewC
Mirror
Mine are 470, 19, 21, 25. I can usually find something in there that works. Thank heavens for SmartTune in Venues.
soundgarten
Thanks everybody for your responses. I have blocks 19,20,21,22 and 24. I almost always find enough clear freq's, but I was hoping someone would say use this block its always wide open. Guess I'll add a 470 and a block 25 see how that shakes out.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Mirror
Don't waste your money on Blk 25. I have it for my booms and it works but when I scan I can't believe how jammed up the blk is. If I had to do it again I won't buy in that blk, but since I already have it I make it work.
