stacysound
Curious at what the new iPower 700’s run time is in a Lectro IFB. I have the 520s, and they're older. They are good for about 8 hrs. Will the new ones make it through a 12 hour day?
John Blankenship
Based solely on tech specs: When new, and if both are accurately rated, if a 520 gets eight hours, a 700 should get about ten-and-three-quarter hours.
RPSharman
Not trying to be funny, but why not swap them at lunch? It will have a marginal effect on overall battery purchase replacement formula, and will insure the IFB doesn't die at an inopportune moment. You can keep running your 520s. ryanpeds
I've had varied experiences. Most get about 10 hours but sometimes shorter and sometimes longer.

Philip Perkins
For me, mostly working solo these days, the standard for battery life in all categories is all-day. The less critical and "in front of me" the device, the more this applies. By myself I don't want to go around and do a check+swap on a bucket of Comteks and IFBs, ditto talent wireless, ditto Lockits, ditto slate--gear that has gone out for the day more or less. I'm glad to hear that iPower 700s cam make it to 10 hrs in IFBs--that makes them attractive to me. I assume their life in 216 RX is even better? Jim Rillie
In my experience, the iPower 700s and 520s work easily in Comtek 216 receivers all day, if not several days.

soundpod
For R1a's the 520, if not changed at lunch, would start dropping out on the last scene of a 10hr shoot day. No fun. In general 700's get through the last scene, but I prefer to change at lunch anyway.
