New Digital IFB/IEM System

Back of envelope calculations give 6 hours on Eneloop NiMh and 7+ on Eveready Lithium assuming 4 hours on alkaline is correct. I assume Eneloop will be the usual choice.

Can't wait to hear them. That's all I'm interested in. And every Hollywood Boom Op working wireless. It's been the weak link in our modern workflow.

Please consider a 2-channel AES / analog input portable Tx.  Regardless, as a former Quadra user, I'm confident that I WILL be purchasing this.

Got some hands on time with this, Crew, and it sounds great. Karl spent some quality time with me showing me this new system, and it's

really slick. It's pretty powerful, and I can see uses for it in different areas as well. I wish I would have had this system back in the day when I was a monitor mixer.

This system sounds really good.  Its strongest use is likely for stage performers, but will no doubt make inroads in other areas.

The transmitter can do two different stereo feeds, or four separate mono ones.

I was very impressed with this IFB monitor system from Lectrosonics. Sound quality was excellent, range was terrific.

I like most of the people I work with. But there are definitely a couple clients I'd like to hand this to when they request IFBs...

Your new stuff is intriguing....

Thanks for the update DF, JB, & JW. . I'm sure it'll cost plenty but for years now I have felt bad about the audio quality my boom op has had to deal with. Also I can use it w music recording.

Back when I used the Quadra, which unfortunately I had to sell to fund the purchase of some more immediately critical gear, I briefly got into the habit of being 100% wireless monitoring.  It was great because it was equivalent to what I was hearing direct from my mixer and I could easily get up and do an adjustment on a microphone, wether plant or cast, and hear in real time the adjustments I was making.  I can see this system being on my cart, and then hopefully a bag friendly 2 channel version where typically I'm only passing out 2 IFB anyways, for smaller television shoots.

Here's a video I did with Karl at NAB:

I got a chance to test this out at NAB. I was blown away by the great sound quality and amazing range. This is definitely a home run for Lectro. Strongly considering this purchase for my cart.
