Lauri Laagus
Couple days ago my 8060 started to make strange noise when moved back and forward on axis. Anyone had something similar? Demo audio attached. LL MKH8060.mp3
KGraham045
Send it in to Sennheiser. I had to send mine into Sennheiser and they swapped my 8060 for a new one.
millar
My 8050 did the exact same thing, sennheiser gave me a warranty replacement. The newer models have a silver ring between the mic body and the xlr adaptor and they have apparently fixed the issue on them.

Glen Deakin
My understanding is the capsule can not be repaired unless sent back to Germany. Think they just swap out provided it's not abused
ayushahuja
Does your 8060 have the silver ring in between the xlr connector module and the microphone? I got Sennheiser to replace my 8060s and 8050 as a part of warranty replacement.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

I wasn't aware that they had updated versions with the metal ring. (My 8060 has been updated and has a metal ring.) but both my 8050 and 8070 do not

My 8040s (from 2012) are ringless whereas the replaced 8060s and 8050 have a ring.Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
