stacysound
Someone out there using a SD 688 with a loaded Lectrosonics Venue. Mulling over how best to wire the two together. I hate to use the six full-size XLR's in the event I need to plug a mic cable in or something that needs phantom power. Do you use the six TA3 inputs? This would put my 6 wireless tracks on tracks 11-16. Any post problem with this? Wish SD had routing options with these recorders…
RPSharman
Only issue with this being that inputs 7-12 do not have input limiters. But I'm quite sure that you can route inputs to whatever tracks you want on the 688.
Constantin
Or maybe use a patchpanel? That's what I'm doing
old school
I don't think so Robert. I was hoping it was the case. Maybe it is and I missed it. I use my Venue for tracks 1-6 on the 688 and mt SL-6 for tracks 7-12. Antenna goes to the Venue and through put to the SL-6. Works great if you are all radio boom and radios all the time like I am. RPSharman
Oh. I thought that was one of the selling points of the digital version of the 664. My mistake. It's that you can route any input to any output, not any input to any track (like the 788).
ryanpeds
If you use the 688 with an SL-6 you can route the SL-6 Audio to whichever input you want, but the xlr and ta3 inputs are still 1 to
