PTA
Does anyone here have a great example of an MS recording they did? Maybe something that made it to a cool video or something that shows how interesting and enriching an MS recording can be compared to just a mono file? Bash
Dare I suggest that you take any MS recording, and play just the M, and then play the decoded. The difference is usually stunning ;-)
Jaymz
I have some MKH8040/30 MS recordings on my soundcloud (they're marked as such in the names)
msimonson
I'm anxiously waiting for my MS rig to arrive and when it does I will be doing lots of tests that I will share. When I was researching mics I found it helpful to go on soundcloud and search for 'mkh 30' or '8040', as a lot of MS recordings in various configurations popped up. engaudio
everything recorded m/s and decoded 1:1, mono your monitors to hear the difference.
PTA
Thanks everyone, these are awesome and I will definitely share some of these. I noticed the majority of these recordings are nature sounds, does anyone know where some cool examples of maybe some sports type things might be? I'm just thinking out loud of many different types of examples. Thanks again!
