Constantin
I know this may be a long shot on shot on this board, but does anyone here have any experience with a beamforming ceiling mic? I mean something like the Sennheiser TeamConnect, or the likes from Shure. Or any other solutions like this? I have a fairly large room to cover and won't have the luxury of a boom... Thanks! Matthias Richter
Not sure if it is a ceiling?? mic. But with the OB van company I'm working for sometimes we use the Neumann mic they use in the Bundestag for the speeches. KEM 970. That would give you covering either a wide horizontal beam with a narrow pattern or the other way around depends how you mount it. We would use 2-3 of those to cover a opera stage. But you would need a rental company that got them. Don't no if there is any.
stacysound
I've used the Shure MXA910. 2' x 2' panel replacement "tiles". 8 lobes. Dante controlled. Pretty unbelievable, must say.
John Blankenship
At NAB 2016, Senator and I spent some time with a demo of the new Shure system. It's mind blowingly good!
